| We’re pleased to announce that the combination between Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has received all the necessary regulatory approvals and has officially closed, effective today. We are now one organization. We are excited about the future, and the value our new organization will bring to you, our members, providers and partners in the community. What this means for you and your employees As we move forward, we will maximize the combined strength of our heritage organizations to help keep high-quality health care accessible and affordable. At the same time, we will continue to invest in programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of care and deliver a superior experience for you and your employees. Your current Tufts Health Plan plan will remain unchanged through the contract period. Any changes we intend to make to plans, programs and services will be communicated to you well in advance. Our focus is to minimize any disruption to you and your employees. Our commitment to serving the community As a newly combined organization, we will remain a mission-driven nonprofit organization, unequivocally committed to serving our customers. Our Foundations are dedicated to corporate citizenship and will continue to proactively support the health and well-being of the diverse communities we have the privilege to serve. Keeping the lines of communication open We understand the importance of communicating with you and your employees. We will email this news to your employees who are enrolled in Tufts Health Plan tomorrow morning and let them know that nothing will change for them. We look forward to providing more information to you in the coming months as we reach additional milestones. In addition, we’ve developed FAQs to help you answer questions you may get from your employees. We’ll continue to update them as new information becomes available.
