You may have heard that Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan are planning to combine their companies. They have entered into a definitive agreement that enables them to move forward to secure local and federal regulatory approval of their plans to combine.
As they move through what could be a lengthy regulatory process, Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts will continue to operate as separate, independent companies in the marketplace. They have assured us there will be no disruption for members during this process.
Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plan view this as a great opportunity for two complementary, mission-driven nonprofit health plans to come together to bring even more value to their customers, members and the communities they serve.
